Charlotte Thurkettle

Charlotte has worked within the company since 2004 progressing to Managing Director in 2012. Having worked on numerous projects in Suffolk, London and Internationally, her skillset lies in domestic interior design, specialising in soft furnishings, furniture, colours and lifestyle.

From growing up on her family farm, with an artist mother, Charlotte is passionate about country houses, and vintage fabrics.

Living on the Suffolk coast with her husband and baby daughter, Charlotte loves cooking, gardening and tootling along the river Deben in their little fishing boat.


Kim Gissing

Kim has been a Designer and Project Manager with Cotton Tree Interiors since 2006, bringing with her previous experience based around the ‘hardside’ of Interior Design.

With a degree in Interior & Spatial Design and an HND in Art & Design, Kim specialises in Kitchen & Bathroom design, Layout/Space Planning, Electrical & Lighting and cabinetry design and specification.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking long walks on the beach with her husky and going out for meals.


Becky Eacott

Following a degree in Interior Architecture Becky thrives on working under pressure on larger projects, taking care of the finer details and overseeing intense project management requirements. With an affinity for the more contemporary designs, her unique vision and flair for the more cutting edge has lead to completing a wealth of both commercial and domestic spaces.

Working on the majority of London based projects, in her down time she loves nothing more than a good book and a glass of G&T. Becky is also a keen traveller, having recently completed a tour of India she is busy planning her next adventure to Africa. 


Tessa Bailey

Tessa started her Interior Design career in 1990, when she embarked on the diploma course at the INCHBALD School of Interior Design.  This was a wonderful career move, and a great change from nursing.  So enthused, she then opened her own interior design studio and was fortunate enough to have projects all over the world. 

She has project managed 15 of her own properties and likes to feel she is well experienced in advising clients regarding their interior design adventure.  Tessa’s greatest passion is to find what the client is looking for, and that the end result looks is as though it all happened by magic.


Katie Oldrey

Katie Oldrey, Interior Designer and Project Manager, local to the area has over 10 years of experience with The Cotton Tree.  She has worked on many jobs from the interiors of a beach hut in Southwold to a lodge on one of the locks in Scotland to a villa in Malta. 

Katie prides herself as a good communicator/organiser for all jobs, small or large and would gladly bring her wealth of practical experience, City & Guilds trained Diploma in Interiors to fruition on any job required. 


Jenny Horton

Jenny has been working at Cotton Tree since late 2013 and ever since starting her role she has transitioned to becoming Office Manager.  With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Jenny has been able to apply her experience and skills in admin to help ensure the smooth running behind the scenes at Cotton Tree.  Her aim is to make sure that not only do the girls feel creative and at home but for clients to have a welcome feeling upon entering the studio.  In her spare time, she enjoys family outings at the beach and travelling.
